Study And Learn With Your Car
With the current state of the economy, it would be a good idea to get a higher education. Most individuals feel that a simple graduate degree is not good enough anymore. To get the real high paying or secure jobs, they need a Masters degree. However, pursuing post graduation in any field is not a cheap affair. In fact doing your Masters requires a lot of money and often student get into a lot of debt trying to complete their post graduation degrees.

For a student for whom money is a consideration, they can apply for a student loan from any top banking institution in the country. Of course some try for scholarship but not everyone is lucky enough to get their education funded by the Government or other sources. They need a loan and need to work to repay this loan for almost their entire lives. Student loans are great to pursue higher education but they could mean you will be in debt for many years to come even after you have completed your studies. If you are wary about a student loan, you can always use your car to get funding for your studies.

Nowadays almost all students who want to pursue a Masters degree have a car. In fact many of them are already well experienced professionals who have worked in a company for a few years and then opt to get a higher degree. All of these individuals own a car or a truck. The good news for students is that if you do own a vehicle, you can simply apply for the vehicle title loan and let it fund your educational aspirations. Vehicle title loans do not require you to have a credit history. It does not even need any guarantor or extensive paperwork. All you need to possess is a vehicle.

Many students have in fact taken this route to funding their higher education. Vehicle title loans are short-term loans which are easily manageable. Since students often have a part time job while studying, you can always use the money earned to gradually pay off your vehicle title loan. Of course your car or truck is always with you during this period and hence you can continue to use your car to drive from your University to home or to your work place. You can even use your car during field studies or if you need to travel to research on a given topic. Many students have realized that their cars are not just a transportation tool but also a means to pursue their higher education.

If you need to use a Self-Scoring Study Style Questionnaire, you can download it from my Slideshare site at: http://www.slideshare.net/rajatwit/study-style-questionnaire-publication. In order to understand and use the SSQ, you must read this article. Below is the coding for the SSQ questionnaire.

Questionnaire Coding

Study Styles Question Items

Auditory Style: Q1; Q16; Q26, Q35; Q47

Visual Style: Q2; Q14; C29; Q43; Q51

Verbal Style: Q4; Q13; Q32; Q39; Q49

Logical Style: Q5; Q18; Q28; Q45; Q55

Social Style: Q6; Q21; Q34; Q41; Q48

Solitary Style: Q7; Q23; Q31; Q44; Q56

Intuitive Style: Q8; Q22; Q25; Q38; Q50

Reflective Style: Q9; Q20; Q33; Q42; Q52

Sequential Style: Q10; Q17; Q30; Q40; Q54

Global Style: Q11; Q15; Q27; Q37; Q46

What Are Study Styles?

A study style is basically one’s preferred way of studying which could be one or a combination of Auditory Style, Visual Style, Tactile/Kinesthetic Style Verbal Style, Logical Style, Social Style, Solitary Style, Intuitive Style, Reflective Style, Sequential Style, and Global Style.

Why Knowing One’s Study Style is Important?

Knowing one’s study style is important because:

There is no one study style that will work for all type of learners, as each learner will have his/her preferred learning style.
Study styles are influenced by gender, economic, social and cultural backgrounds of a learner.
Study styles would determine the preferred designs and type of materials an individual learner would like to use.
Study styles would determine whether a learner feels motivated or bored in learning.
Study styles would influence and determine the manner in which a learner would plan a study program for each subject that needs to be learned.
Study styles also affect the choices of institutions of learning, fields of study and type of classes selected by learners.
Success or failure of learners in achieving a desired standard or grade is determined by existence or non-existence of study styles in one’s learning skills.

What are the types of Styles?

Study styles in this article are divided into basic and other styles. Basic study styles includes: Auditory Style, Visual Style and Tactile/Kinesthetic Style. Other styles (Felder & Silverman, 1980) include Verbal Style, Logical Style, Social Style, Solitary Style, Intuitive Style, Reflective Style, Sequential Style, and Global Style. All study styles are useful in their own ways and are suited for specific learners. Thus, ranking is irrelevant in the choice and use of study styles. However, combining study styles to counter balance weakness or lopsidedness in study styles would be a more holistic way of learning. What is needed is to identify and use one’s preferred study style by appraising or assessing oneself using the Self-Scoring Study Style Questionnaire.

Basic Styles

Auditory Style

Learners who prefer an auditory style would prefer auditory material formats, media, and presentations. This kind of learners would verbalize aloud to reflect and digest what is being presented or learned. Listening becomes the main avenue for learning.

Visual Style

Learners who prefer a visual style would prefer visual material formats, media, and presentations. Visual formats include pictures, diagrams, charts and drawings. These kinds of learners would prefer using mind maps for note taking. Seeing becomes the main avenue for learning.

Tactile/Kinesthetic Style

Learners who prefer a tactile/Kinesthetic style would prefer Tactile/Kinesthetic material formats, media, and presentations. Tactile/Kinesthetic formats include the use of tangible objects, laboratory learning, tactile manipulations, model building and experimenting. Touching and tactile manipulation becomes the main avenue for learning.

Other Styles

Verbal Style

Learners who prefer verbal style would prefer audio-visual style material formats, media, and presentations. Verbal Style formats include the use of audio-visual materials and media like videos, slides, projectors and CD-ROM(s) Verbal style combines auditory and visual styles. Audio-Visual becomes the main avenue for learning.

Logical Style

Logical learners prefer hard facts. Factual learners also tend to restrict themselves to what they are familiar with and would be hesitant in exploring anything new. These kinds of learners prefer researched and established facts rather than theories. Logical thinking and perception would be the highlight of these types of learners. The drawback would sometimes be the loss of creativity through the exclusion of intuitive learning as it is not factual to them.

Social Style

Social style learners prefer anything that involves many persons. They prefer study groups, group projects and lively classrooms. They learn best through group discussions and brainstorming. They love feedbacks and suggestions. However, social style learners might face learning problems when they are expected to function independently with minimum input or interaction from others. Group learning becomes the main avenue for learning.

Solitary Style

Solitary style is reflected in learners who opposite of social learners. They avoid distractions of any type. They look for quiet venues for study. They can be quite introspective. They prefer to study and carry out projects independently with either minimum or no input from others. Solitary style produces the thinkers who can initiate new ideas on their own as they are very highly self-motivated. They perform best on their own.

Intuitive Style

Intuitive style learners are the opposite of logical style learners. They don’t prefer facts and logical thinking. They prefer to go by their feelings. They have problems with decision making as they tend to vacillate according to their moods and feelings. They like theoretical and conceptual thinking. These kinds of learners can be very creative as they are not afraid of exploring new and unknown frontiers of knowledge. Their drawback however is their weakness in relying too much on feelings and lack of attention to details. They learn best through conceptualizations.

Reflective Style

Reflective style learners are prone to be philosophical in their thinking. They are a combination of the logical and the solitary types of learners. They prefer to employ critical thinking, analyze, evaluate and appraise before making any decision. They are very independent in their thinking which affects the learning behavior. They usually take a longer time in making decisions. They learn best through reflections.

Sequential Style

Sequential style learners prefer linear and orderly thinking and learning. In learning, they prefer the jig-saw puzzle form of learning. They like to piece details together until they get a complete picture. They meet with difficulty when they are presented with random facts and are expected to come out with a panoramic picture. Details are their forte.

Global Style

Global style learners are opposite of sequential style learners. They are extremely good at panoramic thinking and perceptions of knowledge. However, their drawback is their lack of attention to details that causes them to become impulsive. They would like to run before they can walk. Panoramic thinking is their forte.

Learning Hebrew To Study Judaism
For a lot of people, the reason why they learn Hebrew is so that they are able to best understand their religion which is Judaism. Hebrew is used in Judaism very regularly, and historically is what religious documents were written in. Today, that is becoming to be more of a thing of the past, and there are a lot of reasons why Hebrew needs to be preserved and why people need to continue to keep learning it. It is so important to this religion and preserving it in its full form. There are many different ways that people that practice Judaism can learn Hebrew so that they are able to promote the language and spread it throughout their congregation.

For a lot of people that practice Judaism, they learn Hebrew through practicing their religion. For children that grow up with Judaism as their religion, a lot of them attend Hebrew school. These Hebrew schools help them learn Hebrew correctly so that they can pass it on and keep Judaism in its true for. Learning Hebrew at a young age is the best way to do it because you are able to retain more learning Hebrew as a child as opposed to waiting until you are an adult. These programs are generally run through the center where you do your worship and you will be able to enroll your children into these classes so that they can learn Hebrew properly. Learning Hebrew through these Hebrew schools can be done as a more long term thing, like on a more daily basis or can be done as part of a Sunday school sort of program or whatever it may be.

For adults that are looking either to learn Hebrew or to at least brush up on their Hebrew, there are also programs through the church that they can take part of. Learning Hebrew through these programs is for more of the advanced person, but beginners can be there too. Make sure that the classes you are taking for learning Hebrew are at a level that you are comfortable at. The point of taking these classes or enrolling in these study sessions is so you are properly learning Hebrew and retaining what needs to be retained. Plus, when you as an adult are learning Hebrew, you can take what you have learned and you can use that to teach your children Hebrew or help other adults learn Hebrew that may not have been fortunate to learn it themselves.

Learning Hebrew is crucial for practicing Judaism, you need to know the language that is used so that you can properly understand the religion that you are practicing. It is important that you teach your children at young ages the language so that it is properly passed on from generation to generation. It is so important to preserve the language that people keep teaching it to other people so that Judaism can continue and get out of it what you can so that you can pass it along to others around you.

The field of psychology is one that is most subject of fluctuate change. This is so as the object of study is mankind and their behavior, hence in regards to this it is most likely that the field will produce a lot of findings and even more along with the journey of time. But there is a great out look to this and that is the fact that degree holders of masters in psychology online are and will always be sought to work for companies. But this is only the first layer of benefit you get from holding the right degree. Seeking for a job at these times may be painful but with the right equipment, you are ready for anything!

The rn to bsn courses online provide a chance to give back to the community you live side by side with.

Study Techniques For Language Learning

There are a thousand techniques for studying a new language. Remember how many strategies people came up for their studying back in high school and college? Almost every single one of those can be applied to language learning, with potentially similar results.

Personally, I encourage students to develop study techniques based on their personal strengths. Even the best techniques can get you mediocre results if it’s not a good fit with the way you naturally learn. The following items are some things you can do to ensure a better experience of learning a new language, whether you’re working on the skillset using an audio course or a language software.

1. Acquire an ear. Even before starting your lessons, try to listen to songs or watch videos in your target language, without attempting to decipher or speak it. That will help you develop a familiarity with hearing it – an invaluable tool as you progress towards your overall skill development.

2. Think phrases. The best way to learn a language is to work on phrases, instead of individual words. That’s the reason why early language practice usually involves common phrases, instead of single-word lessons. Phrases give the words context as well as start you on the path to adopting the nuances of grammar.

3. Imagine stories around words and phrases you learn. As humans, we learn better when there’s an emotional component to anything we try to master. Stories crafted around your target language can make learning all that much easier – not to mention more fun.

4. Involve your life. If you can find a way to involve the target language into your life, the faster the learning will be.

If you are living in a foreign country where the target language is the local vernacular, this becomes a default part of your everyday studying. Under different circumstances, though, you’ll have to be creative and find out how you’ll best be able to integrate it into your daily activities.

Tired of boring exercise books? Innovative Language Learning Software may be your saver. Read how state-of-the-art technology helps you to learn faster and more efficient in the surrounding of your quiet home or at work. Read more

How to Constantly Study & Learn Marketing

Learn all that you can about marketing. Read everything that I send you several times. Each time you do, you’ll discover something that you missed the previous time. You don’t want to miss a major point because marketing is the art of convincing. It goes beyond just selling, and requires an open and trustful relationship, even in that short period of time when the sale happens, between salesperson and client.

Have lots of books, tapes, newsletters, and videos in your marketing media! Remember, we are all in the marketing business. The fact is that we all need new guests. Whether we like it or not, we are in the marketing business. And when a new marketing strategy brings in lots of money, your business can become lots of fun!

The difference between advertising and marketing:

Advertising is knowing what to say.
Marketing is knowing where and how to say it and often includes who to say it to.

Lester Wunderman, who is basically considered to be the father of direct marketing, writes in his book, Being Direct, his nineteen things all successful direct marketing companies know.

They are listed below for you to study so you’ll know them too!

1. Direct Marketing Is a Strategy, Not a Tactic

It’s not an ad with a coupon; it’s not a commercial with a toll free number; it’s not a mailing, a phone call, a promotion, a list, or a website.

It’s a commitment to getting and keeping valuable guests.

2. The Consumer, Not the Product, Must Be the Hero

The product must create value for each of its consumers. It must satisfy consumers’ unique differences, not their commonalties. The call of the Industrial Revolution was manufacturers saying, “This is what I make. Don’t you want it?” The call of the Information Age is consumers asking, “This is what I need. Won’t you make it?”

3.Communicate with Each Guest or Prospect as an Audience of One

Advertising must be as relevant to each consumer as the product or service. General advertising and more targeted direct marketing must both be part of a holistic communication strategy.

4. Answer the Question, “Why Should I?”

The most dangerous question a prospect or guest asks is, “Why should I?” And he may ask it more than once – but never of you. The product and its communication stream must continue to provide him with both rational and emotional answers.

5. Advertising Must Change Behavior, Not Just Attitudes

Favorable consumer attitudes go only part of the way to creating sales. It’s also the consumer’s accountable actions such as inquiries, product trials, purchases, and repurchases that create profits.

6. The Next Step! Profitable Advertising

The results of advertising are increasingly measurable; they must now become accountable. Advertising can’t be just a contribution to goodwill – it must become an investment in profits.

7. Build the “Brand Experience”

Guests have to know and feel the brand as an experience that serves their individual needs. It has to be a total and ongoing immersion in satisfaction that includes everything from packaging to point of purchase, repurchase, and after-sale service and communications.

8. Create Relationships

Relationships continue to grow -encounters do not. The better the buyer/ seller relationship, the greater the profit.

9. Know and Invest in Each Guest’s Lifetime Value

One automobile dealer calculated that a lifetime of cars sold to one guest would be worth 2,000. How much should a marketer spend to create such a loyal lifetime guest for a given product or service?

10. “Suspects” Are Not “Prospects”

“Prospects” are consumers who are able, ready, and willing to buy; “suspects” are merely eligible to do so. Communicating with prospects reduces the cost of sales; communicating with suspects raises the cost of advertising.

11. Media is a Contact Strategy Measurable results from media, not the number of exposures, are what counts. Measurements such as “reach” and “frequency” are out of date. Only “contacts” can begin relationships.

12. Be Accessible to Your Guests

Be there for your guests – be their source of information and service through as many channels of communication as possible. They can’t tell you what they need unless they can reach you.

13. Encourage Interactive

Dialogue Listen to consumers rather than talk at them. Let them “advertise” their individual needs. They’ll be grateful for your responsiveness. Convert one-way advertising to two-way information sharing.

14. Learn the Missing “When?”

The answer “not now” is as dangerous to advertising as “not this”. Only consumers know when they are ready to buy, and they will tell you, if you ask them in the right way.

15. Create an Advertising Curriculum That Teaches as It Sells

A “curriculum” is a learning system that teaches one “bit” of information at a time. Each advertising message (bit) can build on the learning of the previous one. It can teach consumers why your product is superior and why they should buy it.

16. Acquire Guests with the Intention to “Loyalize” Them

Promotions sell product trials – but not ongoing brand loyalty. They may also attract the wrong guests, who may never become loyal. The right guests must be acquired and persuaded to want what the product does and not what the promotion offers. The right guests may in fact be your competitors’ best guests.

17. Loyalty Is a Continuity Program “Totally satisfied” guests are least likely to fall away. Those who are merely “satisfied” may fall away without warning. To build ongoing relationships, rewards for good guests should be tenure-based (on previous purchases, usage behavior, and length of relationship). Rewarding “tenure” can prevent competitors from “conquesting” your best guests.

18.Your Share of Loyal Guests, Not Your Share of Market, Creates Profits

Spend more on the good guests you have. Ninety percent of most companies’ profits come from repeat guests. It costs six to ten times as much to get a new guest as to keep an old one.

19.You Are What You Know

Data is expensive. Knowledge is a bargain. Collect only data that can become information, which, in turn, can become knowledge. Only knowledge can build on success and minimize failure. A company is no better than what it knows.

Don’t stop with this list. Keep learning more and more about marketing, because even the best marketing strategy is doomed to eventually fail. If it is good, competitors won’t stand idly by. They will copy the strategy and, in time, improve it, rendering the original version obsolete. Be sure that you are continually tweaking a winning strategy.

Studying Mandarin Versus Learning Mandarin
How difficult is it to learn Mandarin? That was the question that I asked myself a few years ago. As it turns out, rather difficult. But it was also difficult for me to learn to speak English and I found it difficult to learn Spanish as well.

As you can see for yourself in the end I managed with English. I did however not with Spanish and today I only remember the most common phrases – what makes Mandarin and English different, for me, is that I had a much more defined purpose with both and I think this is the crucial ingredient that turns language learning from merely studying to actually speaking it.

I learned to speak English in America when I moved there as a young teenager, the beginning was rather awkward as I was not really able to partake in most social situations. People found it pretty hilarious and that was the motivation I needed to at least keep trying. That and a pretty girl called Alissa with whom I was eager (galore) to speak to. My English is even today incomplete in a strange way, I dont have the faintest clue of the underlying grammar for example, but I speak English at a close to native level. I went to an English university (York) and after 3 years of hard-core academics I think my English is probably better than my native tongue Swedish. This tells me one thing: learning a language is not about studying it. I made more progress in my first month in America than I did during my three years of studying German in Sweden (today I can recall exactly no useful German).

Learning a language is about speaking the language. For this reason one could erroneously conclude that language schools are a pretty stupid invention. One would be wrong because although it is using the language that eventually brings about fluency, one is much better off with structured tuition combined with a natural setting to practice that which one learns in the classroom environment.

One would be more correct in thinking that language textbooks, however, are a pretty silly attempt at finding an optimal method of learning Mandarin. That is because textbooks are never meant to be an optimal way of teaching a language in the first place they are however an economical way of doing it. From an accounting point of view it is genius to identify that which most people need the most and make a book about it. One shoe fits all. One team sits down; churns out a book and then you are pretty much done with it. You can teach millions of people Mandarin by simply handing them a book and stuffing them all into a very large classroom. The trouble with the method is that even though it is really cheap, it is also, as we have already stated not optimal. In fact, it is so far from optimal that most people that try to learn Mandarin in this way fails.

Currently there are about 100 million people trying to learn Mandarin. Out of these 100 million people almost all of them are using the above method, and the vast majority of these students will never reach their goal. As I initially noted, learning Mandarin turned out to be hard. The tipping point for me came when I found a school that did not teach Mandarin in the conventional way. Instead the school created tailor-made study plans that allowed me to focus on the aspects of the Mandarin language that mattered most to me. This proved to be the building blocks that helped me take the learning process out of the realm of pure academics and learn it by speaking on the streets of Beijing, in my new job in China and during my spare time in various hobbies. For me this was the turning point but I am sure that there are many other ways of doing the same thing. I do however reckon that the methods might just work for everyone. Probably because it is the opposite of one-shoe-fits-all instead of being a somewhat decent fit it is a perfect fit. There is however a drawback, of course there is always a drawback, that this: the method is roughly twice as expensive.
